You won’t be needing them anymore, right?
Claudia Rosett figures that, in this new atmosphere of good faith, there’s no reason North Korea shouldn’t hand over its fake-US-money printing presses. Condi could at least ask for them, doncha think?
UPDATE: In theis morning’s Opinion Journal, the great John Bolton (oh, man, I wish he were interested in running for prez) says that the MSM excitement over this phrase “mid-level confidence” regarding NK’s uranium-enrichment activity needs to be clarified by the rest of what Joseph diTrano said – namely, that the agreed-upon intelligence from 2002 is still agreed upon, but that we just don’t have a complete handle on what they’ve been up to since. Bolton’s main point: since we’ve embarked on this new course with NK, we damn well better insist, with maximum bull-headedness, on the most intrusive verification regimen those lyin’ commies have ever seen.

Damn it is tough to keep up with the cheaters, both here and abroad. Sure Condi should at least ask for them. Evidently this stuff came to light back in ‘05 following the bust of a Chinese crime ring. A stool told investigators N. Korea was printing counterfits. I am sure it is a complicated case and it is likely ongoing. I am sure too that North Korea denies involvement. That stuff happens here all the time too. With our politicians and corporate corps too. Lying and denying. Cops and robbers. Gotta get the goods on the robbers, try them, convict them and sentence them. In this case, via international law. Otherwise, spank ‘em, scare ‘em, raid ‘em, nuke ‘em?
