Two positive developments
Chavez lost his referendum on constiutional tinkering, and Sudan is pardoning the teddy-bear teacher.
Let us temper our relief with the understanding that Chavez remains president and has already nationalized the steel, oil and broadcasting industries, and that there will be another incident, like this Teddy Bear, like Salman Rushdie’s novel, like Theo Van Gogh’s movie, like the Danish cartoons, like the Pope’s address, that the Islamic world will use as an excuse for outrage and to see how much dhimmitude it can elicit from the West.

It is not the Islamic world any more than it is the Christian world. These are fringe nutso cases. That is what the rest of the world is trying to show. If you want to polarize us, no one will stop you. OF course there will be another incident, just like there will be another school shooting here and on and on.

In a recent poll, 40 percent of British Muslims wanted to see Britain ruled by sharia law.
Comparisons to isolated school shootings in the West is ludicrous.

Well, what is 40 percent of Britain? That is ludicrous. That poll itself is lubicrous. Just trying to say that stuff, incendiary stuff happens. And it will continue to happen. You want to draw the lines. I want to eliminate them and get on to the common business of living. I do not feel all that threatened, but outraged, and ready to do my part in battle, if it comes to that. It seems you continually yearn for conflict resolution, but, how? I am only comparing a solid shit to diarhea.

And apparently you still haven’t gotten that this ideological war has been going on now for
millennia. How can we simply fix it now? With bombs and such?

Shit happens, over there, over here, nutso cases everywhere, here, in the high school halls, in the shopping malls, oh, brother, not again, oh brother, where art thou?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071206/ap_on_re_us/mall_shooting_101
The teen entered the store Wednesday using an elevator, and moments later, gunfire pierced through the notes of Christmas music at the Westroads Mall’s Von Maur department store. People huddled in dressing rooms and barricaded themselves in offices as 19-year-old Robert A. Hawkins sprayed the floor with bullets. Six store employees and two customers were killed. When the shooting was over, Hawkins shot himself.
Not a commentary on the west at all, just a commentary on the killer on the loose. Here, there, everywhere. Something wicked always this way comes….
