The history of Christianity is replete with stories like this and much worse, so what’sw your point? Doth we need another crusade, same shit, different slogans or, as Mittie would say, common causes, here in these States United, when you know it’s really all just about stuff. Maya.

It’s that kind of self-hating anti-westernism from lefties living in the West that will get us destroyed.
That’s a lot of horse hockey that “the history of Christianity is replete with stories like this and much worse.” For every atrocitiy-filled blip like the Inquisition there was a corrective principle. Where’s the corrective principle in Islam?
How about it? Do you seee yourself as a beneficiary of the Judeo-Christian, Greco-Roman lineage of ideas and values, or are you just along for the ride?

I’d call it desperation surge.

You make my point for me. It’s not up to me to be the corrective principle in Islam. It’s up to Muslims.
And “desperation surge” sounds pretty silly, don’t you think, now that you’ve had a little time to reflect on what you’ve written? What’s desperate about success? Does any quarterback ver regret throwing the hail-mary pass that wins the game?

IF you call all the mess that preceded the surge, all the unforeseen and certainly unpredicted, supposedly pre-meditated shock and awe that was pretty much awful at every turn, you will understand the meaning of what you call the silly desperation surge, oh you condemned to repeat the history you cannot remember. Here you and some other idiots are ready to kick butt elsewhere. Better TCB there and in Afghanistan first. And Mitty seems to be sounding the alarum about China. We don’t need you guys. And you’re even bitchin’ ‘ bout your Bushman now that he has apparently become his own man for the last quadrant of his pretty fubared presidency. For Christ’s sakes! That’s a big stink too.
