This blogpost says it all in reply:

Some of the dirt being dug up on the Obama camp is pretty flimsey. Think about it. Can a candidate possibly police every campaign office in this great land of ours? This kind of squabbling certainly cheapens the blogosphere. Must be a slow day for news. And what’s all this furor about his alleged refusal to wear a flag pin? Sheesh! And those internet hoaxes about his church http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/government/a/obama_church.htm
or his being a stealth Muslim: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_barack_obama_muslim.htm
or his “no hand on heart during National Anthem?
http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/2007/10/30/barack-obama-no-hand-over-heart-during-national-anthem.htm
When last I checked, the bloggie was not a subscriber to the local Columbus Republic newspaper, but was he aware of the furor over editor Harry McCauley’s column about this no-hand-over-heart controversy?
Sheesh, talk about global warming. Of our reptilian brains. We are really showing our asses this campaign. Talk about devolution. Makes me truly fear for the future of this country of idiots, not grown-ups. This defense of reason and sanity should in no way be considered an endorsement of Obama’s candidacy. Just a plea for intelligent discourse and less mud slinging and rabid paranoia. Show me truth!

While I do try to stay away from stuff that smacks of urban legend, and while the candidate may not have known about the Che flags, there’s no getting around what it says about the kind of person enthusiastic enough about him to work on his campaign staff.
If there’s anything good about it, it’s that it will hopefully hurt him in Florida.
I know if I were McCain, I’d be making hay from it on every available media outlet.
