Why we call them Freedom-Haters – today’s edition
Well, now! Just as all the mush-headed lefties out there no doubt thought they had an argument-proof defense of TCM’s much-vaunted-by-the-MSM “maximum wage,” since it applied to companies receiving bailout money – and no free-marketeer worth his salt could dispute that he who pays the piper calls the tune, right? – along comes Barney Frank.
Isn’t it exquisitely postmodern that our stormtrooping Stalinists now come in the personae of limp-wristed non-natural prostitute customers?

Yeah, but the Boshies accommodated gays pre-Stalin. WTF, limit all da men’s earnings? That won’t fly. Da man he have to be betta than the rest to give us his best. But really, what da man does with his money is his own business. Until we have to put him on welfare. 500K be peanuts for da man.
Da MBA man.

To me, utterly terrifying describes the situation better than postmodern. The very idea shows a complete lack of respect for the talent and special skills required to manage an organization, and utter contempt for the free market in general. Even limited to those who receive bailout money, such restrictions do nothing but destroy their ability to recruit and maintain the talent required to lead them back to profitability and growth. Its sad that seemingly so many of our fellow countrymen are ready to give up their freedom and consign themselves to the fate that such an ideology inevitably leads.

Why has no one brought up the millions some people receive for playinfg a part in a TV show or movie? I think even the hack actors in really weak projects are grossly overpaid, but I never see any complaints about this.

Good point, NQS. If ever a field had bloated pay levels, it’s the television and film industry.
