Who loves freedom and who has RGS

Cassy Fiano lists all the firm “no” Pub senators, as well as all the “squishies” regarding the “stimulus” bill.  She knows, because she called ‘em all.

Not surprised to see my Pub senator, Lugar, among the squishies.  He’s a Reasonable Gentleman from way back.

I note that John McCain is a firm “no.” I will call Lugar’s office and urge him to vote no and will urge others to do so. We still need a plan that will go through because that is the track Bush led us onto.
So far nothing has apparently worked. I predict nothing will work. As you know, I view this as a FUBARred mess. Guess I am a wus like that. Doing nothing is also a mess. Just a mess and while we will crawl out of the hole, nothing is ever going to look the same as befo.

Gotta love the freedom that brung us to this juncture? You can bet that the international community is going to try to curtail American business freedoms since we brung them this messy mix.

Here’s our Email to our congressmen (Note: credit my wife but I approve. Ole John needs the $$$, he’s got a daughter getting married which should circulate some of ole John’s $$$ in the community. Guest list of 200 plus, sheesh!:

If you MUST spend money, then do one of two things:

    1. Give it to the people you are taking it from and let us decide what to do with it. If we save it, then the banks have more money to loan to QUALIFIED borrowers. If we spend it, then we spend it on things we need and want, not what Washington decides are the favored few industries.

    2. Provide new or larger tax credits to get people to do what they want/need to do but can’t afford to: Add insulation, install solar panels, get a more efficient car, give to charities, buy health insurance, get/save a house.

And if you want to raise more money, tax needless plastic use. Some things, such as child car seats, must be made out of plastic, but others—coffee cans, packaged cookie inserts, magazine wrappers—could easily be made out of other things.

I look forward to your vote.
