Since when do you listen to other countries? Only when it suits you? He says Britain disincentifies doctors to practice. Better give the docs here a clue then. They must be as brainwashed as the rest of us.
The Indiana survey found that 83 percent of psychiatrists, 69 percent of emergency medicine specialists, 65 percent of pediatricians, 64 percent of internists, 60 percent of family physicians and 55 percent of general surgeons favor a national health insurance plan. The researchers said they believe the survey was representative of the 800,000 U.S. medical doctors.
What do you tell these people, get off your fat bottom and get a yob?
An estimated 47 million people have no insurance coverage at all, meaning they must pay out of their pockets for health care or skip it.
I know, I know, most of those uninsured are illegal wet backs, you explained that to me already.
Any of those health-care professionals who feel that way are really pathetic, willing to give away their freedom to carve out their professional destinies for a government-guaranteed security.
A lot of world-class musicians likewise support the National Endowment for the arts and various other grant-dispensing bodies, and I’m all the time tryng to find a way to convey to them that down that road lies the death of their cherished artistic freedom and eventually their very inspiration to create.
I do like his idea of granting states’ rights on this issue and his perceptive comment that then we could see what works and what does not. Sounds like a very perceptive and intelligent observer of history and comparative politics, so to speak.
“If the majority of the nation is committed to unsound principles and prefers unworthy office-seekers, there is no remedy other than to try to change their mind by expounding more reasonable principles and recommending better men. A minority will never win lasting success by other means.”

“Listen to other countries”: In case you hadn’t noticed, Mr. Hannan’s views are hardly in the majority in the UK.
