It qualifies her as creepy, to say the least. I guess I side with the school that says no sense filibustering her. She’s to be expected, given that TCM, the Most Equal Comrade, The Aquarian Totalitarian is doing the choosing. She’s widely considered by the folks on my side to be a generally mediocre legal thinker, so I guess that’s one notch better than having a Marxist-Leninist genius up for the post. She’s replacing Souter, so it’s basically just more of same.
We must hope that Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito live long and healthy lives.

I refer you to her 2002 speech in which she said that a well-spoken Latina woman would probably be better qualified than a white male to come to sound judicial rulings in certain cases, due to her life experiences.
