When is TCM cool with meddling?
When it’s in defense of the Honduran president, who tried to unconstitutionally hold a referendum on his continued rule. This puts the TCM administration, by the way, on the same side of this situation as the Castros, Daniel Ortega and Hugo Chavez.
Could TCM want to see this kind of tactic legitimized in case he needs to use it at some point?
And when is he not cool with meddling? When it might interfere with his messianic fantasies of charming a similar regime in Iran into giving up its nukes. Axelrod says talks with the blood-stained mullahs still possible.

Hmm, you’re having a great day, aren’t you, bloggie? And, dammit, at first glance here, it appears you’re right–Obama and Hillie need to cool their jets a bit, like they did with the Iran elections. Advocating similar situations here stateside I see. OMG! Real men drive coupes (de etats).

The Honduran army insists it’s not staging a coup d’etat, that elections scheduled for November will proceed as planned. The interim prez is the top guy in the Honduran Congress, as specified in their constituion.

This and the deficit will be Obama’s undoing if he does not handle it right. Bring on the Blue Dogs before it’s too late. That means, that some of his party need to try to straighten him out on a few things.

Can’t you just hear how that would go?
“Mr. President, with all due respect but also with requisite candor, I must tell you that much of your policy direction is jeopardizing our party’s chances in the 2010 election.”
“Congressman, I guess I need to remind you of something: I’m the president.”

And there is where the great hope for the “opposition” Repubbies lies, in those mid term Congressional elections. It’s in the constitution. And, yeah, the Supreme Court’s overturning the New Haven firefighter affirmative action affirmed by the lower court of Sotomayor does not look at all good for Obama either. So….
