I can’t imagine Hille (and Bill, they’re married for Christ’s sake) going along with appeasement. If she quits, man, that’s it for TCM. She has a lot of power in that regard. Chavez has to know he might have a friend in Obama but there are many, likely many many, i.e., a huge majority, here in the land which brought us the Monroe Doctrine, who aren’t going to come even close to kissing his ass, either clothed or especially unclothed and shown to be what it indeed is, Commie dictatorship. We are not about that. If TCM is, and there are indeed many increasing indications that he is, well, off with his title, hopefully peacefully and via rule of the people, if not law, i.e., he’s another one termer.

I think he is indeed a one-termer unless he pulls some funny business, which is not something I’d put past him. Another key to whether things like election cycles proceed in an orderly, constitutional fashion is whether things get hairy per what Ledeen says about the potential for that.
Why did Netanyahu fly into Moscow the other day? YNet says there’s good reason to believe he was giving them a heads-up about attacking Iran’s nuclear capacity.

Israel is a sovereign nation and can do what it thinks it has to. And it can live with the consequences as it must, of course. Jehovah has not always been with them. We’ll see. We don’t want to attack it for them at least not at this point, so, let er blow. I’ll stop in when the bombs are bursting in mid air to get a glimpse of your glee.
