| Barney back in his blues-shouter days, fronting the band Smoky Coconut, with special guest Jimmy Coe. Fourth Street Bar & Grill, Columbus, IN, 1999. Working with Jimmy was a real honor. He was a fine gentleman and he made major contributions to American music. (For instance, in 1942, he took over first-chair alto in Jay McShann's band from Charlie Parker.
